Here is what I'll be handing out at the end of this forensics season to my students. I sure hope I spelled everything right...
The "Certificate of Excellence" goes to the top two point-earning entries from each grade level.

The "Certificate of Completion" goes to every student. It's a bit like a "participation ribbon" (which I hate) so I wanted to explain in detail why making it to the end of the Forensics season was really, truly, honestly a pretty darn amazing thing.
I created an award this year - "Most Improved." This certificate goes to the student who had the biggest change in their points received at a meet. I was really happy to do the math and find out it was Mia, one of the solo students I coached - we had a talk one day about why she thinks participation ribbons are degrading and stupid, and she's impressed me all year with her very grounded maturity. This was the easiest acknowledgement to compose. (And don't worry - I put some whiteout over that incorrect comma.)
